The Best Mocha Butter-Cream Frosting / Icing

This is definitely the best frosting I have ever had. I am in love with it! Perfect texture....nothing like store bought! It is wonderful on everything!!!

SERVES 16 , 1 12" round, 4- layer cake (change servings and units)

    In your mixer, beat the softened butter with the powdered sugar until it is creamy.
  2. 2
    Add in the cocoa powder, vanilla extract & coffee.
  3. 3
    Beat with the mixer until it's nice and fluffy (about a minute or 2)
  4. 4
    This makes a perfectly spreadable frosting. The nice thing about it is that you can put it in the fridge to make it a little more firm if you would like.

This is an amazing recipe! I was searching for the perfect mocha frosting that was tasty but light, and I've found it. I could eat this frosting all day long!

    Wow is this greattttt frosting!! I was looking for a fluffy frosting recipe and this is perfect. Thank you verrrry much Kirsten for sharing it! I think I'll see if shortening is lower fat and substitute some of the butter with it. Next time I'll make sure not to chill the cake before serving though, it gets a bit too firm, it's much nicer not so firm. Very tasty!
