So many great reviews already, but I must add one more! I am usually unimpressed with red tomato based sauce as it seems to sweet for my taste, but this recipe was the cure for all my misgivings. Used ground turkey and red onion and was blown away! Kudos to you Bev!

I have made this recipe countless times and it always turns out great. I do add 2 chopped bell peppers, 2-3 finely chopped jalapenos, and around 1 T red pepper flakes--I love spicy food. And I occasionally add homemade baked meatballs at the end of the cooking time instead of using the ground beef. I recently was on a fishing trip and was served jarred spaghetti sauce. Yuk. This recipe is so superior to anything I find on my grocery store's shelves. Thanks for the recipe, you've spoiled me.

Different people look for different things in a spaghetti sauce. In fact, your spaghetti sauce says alot about you as a person. This is undoubtedly the best spaghetti sauce I have ever had! It is full-bodied but balanced. It is meaty yet the meat does not overwhelm the flavor. With a sprinkle of parmesan, a french baguette and a red wine on the side this sauce creates the perfect evening! I'm love this chef!!

Bev, your spaghetti sauce is out of this world delicious!!! This was THE BEST I have ever had. I was already looking forward to having the leftovers tonight as I was eating it last night!! I followed the recipe to a "T" except for the bay leaves, only because I didn't have any on hand. Thank you, thank you for posting this!!!
