So satisfying to invent a really good smoothie. Lots of nutrients, awesome fruity flavors and no fat here!

SERVES 1 , 1 breakfast smoothie! (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Pour hot or boiling water over the dates in a small bowl and let soak for 5-10 minutes, to soften. Note: if using another, less sweet type of date, such as medjool, I'd suggest using one or two extra.
  2. 2
Transfer dates (without water) and other ingredients to the blender. You can reserve some blueberries for garnish if you like. Blend until smooth. Stir in the extra berries.
  3. 3
    Enjoy!

Found this to be a wonderful tasting smoothie! Actually used 6 medjool dates for this, as well as frozen blueberries! Enjoyed the blending of flavors ~ all somewhat mild, but together, very, very nice! Thanks for sharing your recipe! [Tagged, made & reviewed in Please Review My Recipe cooking game]

I make smoothies for my toddler DD so my rating is based on her reaction. She liked it and drank about half of it but wasn't as taken with this combo as some others she's had. I had a taste & I thought it was nice but 1 kiwi would have probably been enough. Gorgeous colour & full of goodness, was great to try. Thanks WRC!

Delish!!! I used figs in place of the dates. Used frozen blueberries and frozen banana. I did have to add a touch of juice to process. Thanks!
