This was good! I didn't have enough sharp cheddar on hand, so I threw in some velveeta and moz to make up the difference. I liked the fact that it only used one pot too! When I get really adventurous, I think I might even throw it into a casserole dish and bake/brown the top just a bit too!

Quick and simple mac & cheese. It's a nice basic recipe that is great for kids and/or picky eaters. I used fat free half and half and it worked very well. I think that using sharp cheddar is a must in this recipe. Many adults may like a little more spice in this, and that can easily be added. Thanx for posting. I'll use this on my kids often.

yum, yum, yum and (dare i say it) yum. this is a trip down memory lane straight into my mom's kitchen. i've raised my own kids on the "powdered stuff" and i'm almost afraid to give them this for fear they will reject the box stuff from now on. i used up a wee bit of whipping cream and 3/4 cup half and half and then made up the volume with regular milk. and i made the sauce with 1/2 velveeta like i remember from my childhood. perfect. it made a tiny bit more sauce than the pasta needed initially, but after 10 minutes the sauce to pasta ratio was good. as rachael would say... "yum-o" thanks for posting.

This got the automatic 5 star. DD loved this and asked for more. She usually will only eat the dreaded box stuff. She won't touch my homemade baked mac and cheese. But she loved this so thank you for the great recipe to replace the boxed stuff. I used fat-free 1/2 and 1/2 and used half 2% cheddar and 1/2 2% velveta. YUMMO!
