Sauerkraut for Hot Dogs

SERVES 4 -6
Ingredients
- 1 (16 ounce) can sauerkraut, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon caraway seed
Directions

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan; cook on low heat until heated through. Serve over hot dogs.

I had my sister's family over yesterday and hotdogs were what the kids wanted, so I took advantage and made this recipe for the adults. We simply loved it! I love sauerkraut on a hotdog, and this variation is really special. Sweet and tangy. My oldest son is now a convert, too.

I'm not a big saurkraut eater, but made half the recipe and served with veggie hot dogs. I really enjoyed it an will make some more with the rest of the can. Thanks Julie! Made for ZWT4!

As friends of mine will tell you, I've never been fond of sauerkraut, but I make an exception to this concoction ~ This is very, very nice, especially when dressed up with the other 4 ingredients! I could certainly be persuaded to make this one again! Thanks for posting! [Made & reviewed while in Germany during Zaar's World Tour 4]
