Just wanted to add that it's also Wonderful with Butterscotch or Chocolate pudding instead of Vanilla. Gives just a little taste variety to a Super easy and delicious Treat!

This was an enormous hit at our End of Summer party today. I've got a feeling I've started a tradition here! Several people had seconds, and even some had thirds! I was skeptical, it all sounded too sweet to me, but it was wonderful! My husband said it was like eating really good ice cream that had melted just a bit. When I got my thawed "extra creamy" cool whip out this morning to make it, it was only 8 ounces, (my bad), and once I mixed it with the pudding it was way too thick. I got creative and used some left over heavy cream, (the kind in the can) that was left over from something the kids had, and when it was still too thick I thinned it down with fat free half-and-half. Therefore that makes this recipe not only fabulous, but forgiving, too! Thanks Wendy, this wowed my family, all good cooks with experienced palates. Definite keeper! UPDATE: This HAS become a family tradition, requested at all get-togethers!

My sister in law's relative had made this recipe for a gathering and everyone fell in love with it. I found this one and the difference was the French Van. Pudding. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! This was SOOO much better! I brought it to an end of year picnic for my daught's school and it was a hit! Thanks for posting!
