I baked this and left out the nuts because I used granola with nuts in it. It was a nice quick breakfast.

I really enjoyed this - as suggested by others, I baked it in the oven and loved the crispy top on it. Very good, very easy.

Quick for sure! Delicious too.... I loved putting this together for the kids and myself this morning. I double-doubled this recipe (using four slices of bread) when I figured that the boys would normally eat 3-4 slices of regular French toast (or a whole bowl of cereal). Then I got creative and baked (at 350 for 20 min) two of the ramekins, and microwaved the other two, just to see the difference. The 'waved ones came out puffier, but the oven ones had a richer flavor (we thought). I used granola for the cereal, and one batch had finely chopped pecans, the other coarsely chopped walnuts. I personally liked the larger walnut pieces better....the pecans were too much like dust (altho' I LOVE the flavor of pecans much better). You got a KEEPER here, Diana!!! Well done!!!

This tasted exactly like a piece of french toast! I used bran flakes, crushed, raisins for cranberries & didn't use any walnuts. I microwaved mine; worked great! So quick & easy-will make again for a snack for sure!
