Steak Marinade My Way

Recipe #218626 | 1 day | 5 min prep | SERVES 4 -6 (Change Servings)

RECIPE BY: Michelle_My_Belle

I don't know where I picked this up. I've been doing it since I first started cooking, and it's just a great flavor for steaks. I'd suggest at least a nights worth of soaking if you have the time to. The main flavor in this marinade is the Italian mixed with the Worcestershire.

Posted on: Mar 25, 2007

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups Italian dressing
  • tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • minced onion (or onion powder) (optional)
  • garlic powder (optional)
  • seasoning salt (optional)
  • pepper (optional)
  • Directions

    1. 1
This recipe is best if you beat the steaks and stab it a few times with a fork so the juice can soak into the meat.
    2. 2
Mix Italian dressing and Worcestershire sauce. This is the main thing--if you would like to add more or less of either, just make sure the Worcestershire isn't overpowering the Italian dressing.
    3. 3
Add minced onion, garlic powder, seasoned salt and pepper to tastes. I usually use at least a shake or two from each bottle, a little lighter on the salt and pepper then the other two, but its not a science in the recipe, just go with your tastes.
    4. 4
      Marinate!

Our steak turned out quite nice! I sliced it and served over a salad. Thank you Michelle_My_Bell.

I marinated two porterhouse steaks for Hubby and Little Miss (DD) thet both love beef. The day I suppose to cook it Hubby arrived home late and had already ate dinner. So the beef sat in the marinate for two days. I don't eat red meat so I didn't get to taste it but Hubby really enjoyed it he said the flavour really soaked into the meat. Thank you Michelle_My_Belle

I have to admit, I made this marinade but my son used it tonight on some venison steaks. Excellent taste. We have used Italian dressing before but this was slightly different. We will make this again. Thanks.

I have marinated chicken breasts in italian dressing and they were great so wanted to try this recipe. Added minced onion, garlic powder, pepper, and omitted the seasoning salt. I used eye of round sliced into 6 pieces and refrigerated overnight. The steak was tender and very tasty! Thank you Michelle for posting this recipe, saving this one to use again.
