Very good dessert. I cut down on the sugar a tad. Definitely a five-star recipe. Would be good with some whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Thanks for a super easy dessert that was so yummy! I did reduce the water a little the second time and used splenda because I'm diabetic. My fave is apple and hubby's fave is peach.

This recipe was a fun one to make. My kids helped out it was so easy. Reminiscent of an apple dumpling/cobbler type dessert. It had a yummy gooey apple-cinnamon filling. The whole family enjoyed it and agreed--5-stars for flavor, ease, and fun. Thanks.

These should have a warning on them "sugar overload". They are rich but very good. Also, Splenda can be used in place of the sugar. In place of the apple pie filling, I used my recipe for Cracker Barrel Fried Apples Cracker Barrel Fried Apples, reducing the sauce and eliminating the cinnamon. This made a sweet ending to our Mexican themed Christmas brunch.
