This recipe was printed in the Spring 2007 edition of Cooking for 2. I needed soy sauce today and gave it a try. It is pretty good and lower in sodium.

2 cups (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
In a small bowl, mix together the bouillon and boiling water.
  2. 2
    Stir in the remaining ingredients.
  3. 3
Pour into a jar with a tight-fitting lid; store in refrigerator and shake well before using.

Made for ZWT4...This was perfect!!! I made it and used for my stir fry challenge recipe and it worked out perfectly. I will be able to use this instead of buying soy sauce all the time.

I didnt have any sesame oil, but i used this to sub for a recipe that called for one cup of soy sauce, and had had complaints of it being too salty, I found this to be a perfect sub, especially because i dont like overly salty foods, but enjoy the taste soy sauce brings to a dish (not to mention, a cup is almost half of the bottle!) I will be useing this recipe often, for anything that calls for soy sauce

Many many thanks for this one! I can't have anything with soy, so this definitely is a blessing to me! Now I can really enjoy "Loveless Cafe's Braised Pork Chops" instead of using Worcestshire sauce.
