Grilled T-Bone Steaks

Recipe #213659 | 20 min | 10 min prep | add private note

This is an excellent marinade for any steak. The flavor is just wonderful. Our T-bones came out perfect. Very tender with a wonderful flavor. The original recipe is from TOH with some changes to suit our taste. Prep time does not include the time it takes to marinade the steaks.

SERVES 2 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the first 11 ingredients.
  2. 2
    Add steaks.
  3. 3
Seal the bag and turn to coat.
  4. 4
Refrigerate overnight, turning as often as you can. (I actually marinaded my for a day and a 1/2.).
  5. 5
    Drain and discard marinade.
  6. 6
Grill steaks, over high heat for about 5 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a meat thermometer should read 145 degrees, medium, 160 degrees, well-done 170 degrees).

Yes, this is awesome marinade for steaks! DH was in absolute heaven during dinner, lol. I only marinated for a day as I forgot to do them the night before. No matter. I would even double the recipe next time because this steak would be awesome on a salad or in a sandwich. Needless to say, there weren't any leftovers this time!

OMGoodness! That marinade is without a doubt the best one I've ever tried! I ended up marinading the steaks for 2 days. We prepared 4 large steaks and had some left over so I refridgerated it. I was delicious the next day!! Oh, this is incredible!! Thank you for sharing ~Nimz~!

Oh yummy! Full of flavour - nice and savory - perfect! I left out the sugar (I never add sugar to anything but dessert recipes) and used balsamic vinegar instead of red wine vinegar. We used Rib steaks just because those looked good at the butchers. Our company wanted to know what time dinner was tomorrow night!

This is a really good marinade. I recommend letting your steak marinate for at least 24 hours. I have had problems in the past with T-Bone steaks punching holes in plastic bags so now I just marinate the steak in a shallow glass dish, flipping it at least once.
