I hate coriander, so I have been fiddling with recipes to find a nice "warm beef salad" and this is the result. I love to make this in a big rice bowl, while DH has a steak and chips

SERVES 1 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

dressing

Directions

  1. 1
flatten your steak if it is a thick one, and sprinkle with cracked pepper.
  2. 2
cook till rare or medium, place on board to rest for 5 minutes.
  3. 3
combine salad greens in a bowl.
  4. 4
combine dressing ingredients in a small microwave safe container.
  5. 5
microwave till honey is liquid, mix well.
  6. 6
slice your steak thinly, and put on top of the greens, pour over the dressing and toss lightly.
  7. 7
    enjoy!

A very easy and fresh tasting salad. The blend of flavours in the dressing is just right. I used spring onions, avocado, red pepper and tomato. I think I will also use this as a base for a chicken tenders warm salad. A "keeper" for me

This was a really satisfying dish. We liked the combination of the light tangy salad with the hearty rare beef. I think this is the first warm beef salad I've had without coriander. It was a nice change! Thanks mummamills!
