This was very flavorful, but it was far too salty. 2 tablespoons of garlic salt PLUS lemon pepper seasoning PLUS the chicken broth (and I even used the low-sodium version) — YIKES. Perhaps garlic powder could be used instead of the garlic salt. The rice needed more liquid. It turned out too crunchy and sticky. And the pork chops were pretty mushy by the end of the cooking time, even though I laid them on top of the rice as suggested. I'm sorry to say that I won't be making this again.

This is the first recipe we tried in our first slow cooker. We like very flavorful dishes and this is certainly in that category. We cooked it for about five hours, though the timer says 4 1/2 hours and the recipe says 5 - 6 hours. The pork was not falling apart, but that was fine. We used the leftover pork in a delicious asparagus and pork ramen soup for lunch.
