This recipe has been in the family for years. I am not sure where it came from. I love it because it is quick, easy and doesn't last long around my house.

SERVES 6 -8 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

    In a large mixing bowl combine pudding mix, milk and condensed milk.
  2. 2
    When pudding is thoroughly mixed add cool whip.
  3. 3
    Mix until cool whip is completely blended in.
  4. 4
    Add 3 sliced bananas and mix.
  5. 5
    Crush 1 cup of vanilla wafer and add to pudding.
  6. 6
    Use vanilla wafers to line a serving bowl.
  7. 7
    Alternate layers of wafers and vanilla pudding, ending with the pudding.
  8. 8
    If you have a few wafers left over, use some to decorate the top of the pudding.

Really rich and creamy but sorry, it was far too sweet for us. I will try next time without the sweetened condensed milk, and maybe try all regular milk as one reviewer suggested.

    Yummy! This is a chilhood favorite of my honey and he was sooo excited to have it. Thanks for the recipe. I think next time I will use half the condensed milk and more regular to cut back on some of the sweetness.

    Even with all the low-fat and fat-free ingredients, this turned out GRRRREAT after it sat in the fridge overnight and the flavors melded. I even used regular milk instead of the sweetened condensed milk and it was still rich enough for me. Yummm!
