Seasoned Un-Salt

This blend comes close to the flavors in the typical seasoned salt blends like Lawry's, without the sodium. Use it where seasoned salt is called for or when you want to give food a little extra flavor. This is really good on eggs and soups! Adapted from Low Sodium Cooking. This would also make a good gift!

I've made this many times. It is delicious. If you need a tad bit of salt, substitute celery salt for celery seed. Either way it's great. We keep on hand.

Yumm, Yummm. Very nice blend that will work with pretty much, darn near, anything. I thought the nutmeg was a tiny touch potent BUT I used a freshly opened bottle that arrived from Penzey's just this morning. I suspect that if it was supermarket nutmeg it would have been fine (and it didn't keep me from sprinkling it on my roast beef sandwich at lunch). Much less expensive and just as good as the "Gourmet" brands. Sharon, I'll be using this a lot!
