Chicken Delicious

Recipe #18872 | 5¼ hours | 10 min prep | SERVES 4 -6 (Change Servings)

RECIPE BY: Musical Joy

This is a fantastic crockpot recipe! Found it on the internet years ago and have modified it some. The chicken is so tender, it falls apart, and it makes incredible gravy. It's my most requested recipe and our favorite meal. My daugters (ages 4 and 1) love it too! We eat it with a side of vegetable and sometimes with Texas toast.

YUM. I would probably use the 3 tablespoons of lemon next time. I added a bit more sherry than called for and I am glad I did. However! for an easy Sunday stick in the crockpot meal I am sure we will use this again. The kids are scoffing theirs without a complaint so that says tons. Celery Soup is unavailable here so I used cream of chicken. Hubby is the only one who likes mushies so I used a 2 to 1 ratio with the chicken and the mushie soup. Easy to dress up or down. I would serve this to guests without a guilt trip. And yes, I think it would be even nicer with the celery soup : ))))

So easy, so delicious. I used only 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts but kept the same amount of mushroom and celery soups. Added 1 chopped onion, for flavor and also to dilute the sauce. I wanted more color, therefore sprinkle a generous amount of dried Parsley on top. I served mine over egg noodles. It's wonderful, everyone in my family love this dish. Thank you for sharing your recipe.

What an excellent recipe! Love the sherry flavor. With all due respect to LadyKatrina, the sherry is a very important part of the recipe! I don't understand how you can give a recipe a negative rating if you don't cook it as written.
