This is a simple recipe to prepare fresh baby food for your baby rather than the expensive jars. Found this on a Vegetarian website, I think. It makes 8 cubes, so I put 8 servings since I would consider this a side dish.

SERVES 8 , 8 cubes (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup vegetable (potatoes, carrots, yellow squash, green beans, or peas. Should be fresh or frozen and cooked WITHOUT)
  • 4-8 tablespoons water (or breastmilk or baby formula, to reach desired consistancy)

Directions

  1. 1
    Puree vegetables and liquid in blender until smooth. Serve or freeze.
  2. 2
    Note: After trying single foods, try to use combinations such as potatoes and carrots or carrots and peas.

I made this for myself after dental surgery. It was pretty good. I also tried it using low sodium chicken broth as a liquid and that also worked well. Thanks for the share !
