Egg and Ham Sandwich (England)

Recipe #182212 | 5 min | 5 min prep | add private note

Aug 18, 2006

This is how my mum gives it to us. I'm pretty sure the eggs are a family recipe.

SERVES 2 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Mash boiled eggs with a fork.
  2. 2
Put butter in bowl, add eggs.
  3. 3
Add curry powder and then mayonnaise a little at a time to get the right texture (which is creamy). Be careful not to make them dry.
  4. 4
Cut crusts of bread, unless you particularly like crusts.
  5. 5
Place 3 slices of ham on two of the pieces of bread.
  6. 6
Spread egg mixture on top of the ham.
  7. 7
Top with other slices and cut into 4 squares or 4 triangles or even into soldiers to entertain younger children.

Delicious and easy recipe, we all loved it. The addition of the curry gave this a great flavour. Made for ZWT 3, thanks for posting!

i enjoyed this..but my hubby thought curry wasn't enough for flavor even though i put a little more than a healthy pinch. he felt it needed maybe a little onion or a little more seasoning. still it was very good. thank you for sharing! =)

Great sandwich. I'd never thought of combining ham and egg at lunch, but we do it for breakfast, so why not! I made it for one and added lettuce and thinly sliced red onion. And, yes, I love crusts. Made for Zaar World Tour.
