Ramen Noodle Salad

I received this recipe from one of my sisters when we had a family reunion quite some years ago. I have had many comments on it, and I am always printing out copies of it for people. This recipe gives you a new way to use those Ramen Noodles!

SERVES 6 -8 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

DRESSING

Directions

    Combine cabbage and onions.
  2. 2
    Set aside.
  3. 3
    Mix together all dressing ingredients and refrigerate.
  4. 4
    Toast the sesame seeds and almonds.
  5. 5
    Smash ramen noodles into bite size pieces.
  6. 6
    2 to 3 hours before serving, combine all ingredients except sesame seeds.
  7. 7
    Just before serving, add the sesame seeds.
  8. 8
    ENJOY!

    I make a salad almost identical to this, except that it calls for balsamic vinegar, and it includes sunflower seeds in addition to the almonds and sesame seeds. I always get rave reviews for it, and it always disappears quickly at potlucks. I made it for Easter dinner this year, and everyone loved it. Great recipe! Thanks for sharing!

    this is my favorite only have one suggestion toast the ramen noodles as well it brings out the flavor.
