Try this on top of ice cream or other dessert.

    Put the rhubarb in a saucepan, and add the vanilla bean, sugar and water.

    Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat and let it simmer for about five minutes.

    Add the strawberries and cook just until they soften and break down a bit.
