String Cheese Meatloaf

From Taste of Home's Quick Cooking. I like using string cheese in this recipe because it saves me from slicing!

SERVES 6 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    in bowl, combine 1/2 c spaghetti sauce, egg, bread crumbs, galric and rosemary.
  2. 2
    Crumble meat over mixture and mix well.
  3. 3
    Presss half into greased 8x4x2" loaf pan.
  4. 4
    Place two pieces of cheese, side by side, near one end of loaf.
  5. 5
    Cut the remaining piece of cheese in half.
  6. 6
    Place side by side on opposite end of loaf.
  7. 7
    Top with remaining meat mixture.
  8. 8
    Press down firmly to seal.
  9. 9
    Bake uncovered at 350 for 1 and 1/4 to 1 and 1/2 hours or until meat is no longer pink and a meat themometer reads 160°F
  10. 10
    Drain.

    Drizzle with the remaining spaghetti sauce.

    Bake 10 minutes longer.

    Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing.

I made this using all ground beef and 4 sticks of string cheese and we all enjoyed it very much. It was easy to throw together and flavorful.
