I made this on 2/2/08 for SO's and my dinner.Since there was only two of us,I cut the recipe in half and it worked just fine. And so far this is the only recipe that my SO has ever eaten french-fried onions in.I didn't have the soup that was called for in the recipe,so cream of broccoli was used. The taste of this was so smooth and creamy, and will be made again. Thanks for posting and,"Keep Smiling "

I got this same recipe from a Hillshire farms ad. We make it at least once a month and always use whole wheat penne or wavy noodles, and often change it up with different cheese (cheddar is great), or add other frozen veggis (like asparaugus). Real stick-to-your-ribs food!

I made this for dinner tonight and it was a hit. I loved the smokey flavor of the sausage. The only change I made was using the regular fried onions instead of the cheddar, just because that's what I had. This is a great weeknight dinner.
