Plum Sabayon

Recipe #161743 | 15 min | 10 min prep | add private note

By: Ppaperdoll

Another healthy dessert recipe from UK Family Circle magazine. Good in summer, when plums are plentiful and you don't want to cook much, but still want something a little special.

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Slice plums and divide between 4 dessert dishes or small bowls.
  2. 2
Put egg yolks, sugar, vanilla extract and orange juice in a bowl over a pan of simmering water. Whisk vigorously (or use an electric mixer) until mixute leaves a 'trail' when dragging whisk through it.
  3. 3
Spoon the sabayon (egg and sugar mixture) over the plums and serve.
