A simple home remedy for your colicky baby. Remember to talk to your doctor before giving this to your little one! Fennel seed can be used in place of dill.

7 -8 2 oz bottles (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Simmer water and dill seed for about 10 minutes.
  2. 2
Strain out the seeds and allow water to cool.
  3. 3
Fill as many 2 oz bottles as you can.
  4. 4
Feed to baby as needed at room temp or slightly warmed.
  5. 5
Discard water after 24 hours, it doesn't keep it's potentcy and may start to turn.

Audrey wasn't particularly fond of it when i mixed it with her formula, but alone, it worked great. She stopped crying within 5 minutes, and passed soooo much gas. It was 2 dollars for the Dill Seeds at walmart, so a lot cheaper then the store bought thank you!

My daughter made this for my granddaughter when she was a baby using the fennel seed instead of the dill. Our little one was so colicky and it helped her so much. I just couldn't believe it. Thanks for listing this and hopefully others will see it and try it instead of medications.

I made my kids the fennel seed water when they were infants and couldn't believe how wonderful it worked, It was great sleeping again at night for both of us! My kids are teenagers now, but when i saw your recipe i told my girlfriend at work who was having problems with her infant and emailed her your recipe. She told me that it worked to thank you so much! i'll make sure from now on when mentioning the fennel seed water to new moms to include your dill seed one as well! thanks again!
