Copy Cat Recipe. I received a ton from my mom.. Here's another...I haven't adjusted anything :O) On some I had to guess on the time and servings if I haven't tried them.

SERVES 6 -8 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Cut cabbage and carrots into small pieces about the size of rice kernels (the food processor is great for this!).
  2. 2
In a salad bowl, combine the sugar, salt, pepper, milk, mayonnaise, buttermilk, vinegar and lemon juice. Beat until smooth. Add the cabbage and carrots. Mix well. Cover and refrigerate.

At this time of year we have a lot of cabbage in the garden, so I decided to try this recipe. We love it - in fact we tend to sit around the table once the meal is over just eating the coleslaw! I did find it a little too liquidy with the 1/4 cup of milk and buttermilk, so I just add the buttermilk now. I also use about 1cup of mayo and add some onion.

Very similar to KFC and extremely delicious. I made too much (family of four) and had to throw some out, but this recipe size would be great for a potluck or barbecue.

I made this for my husband's work while they remodel. They work overnight so this makes it simple for them to eat. I made it with Crockpot BBQ Chicken Sandwiches. Everyone loved it!
