Soul Style Sweet Potato Pie

Ingredients

• 1 deep dish pie shell
• 3 large eggs
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 4 tablespoons butter, softened
• 2 cups sweet potatoes, cooked drained and mashed
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1/2 cup bourbon
• 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Directions

   Preheat oven to 350°F.

   Combine all items (EXCEPT the pie shell), in a large bowl, beating well --.

   Pour into the pie shell and bake in the preheated 350°F oven for 45 minutes or until set --.

   Serve at room temperature or chilled (I like it chilled) with a generous portion of sweetened whipped cream or Cool Whip.
