D-Ring Delights (Horse Treats)
SERVES 8 , 30 -38 cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup oats
- 1/2 cup carrot
- 1/2 cup apple
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons canola oil
- 4 peppermint candies
- 1/2 cup molasses
Directions

Mix together VERY WELL in large bowl in order as listed.2
When you put the carrots and apples in, chop them up in a food processor until pieces are as small as possible.3
Wet hands with vegetable oil or Pam.4
Roll into medium sized balls about an inch to and inch and a half wide, then pat down.5
Put in oven at 310-330°F for 20-30 minutes depending on how hard you want them. I like to put it at 325°F for 20 minutes.

So far so good.....we made these yesterday, and they turned out perfectly! We didnt add the peppermint candies, since Eagle has never had them and we didnt want to put him off with New tastes! We have yet to introduce him to his treats tho...I'll let you know tomorrow!
