I love the smell I feel like a big oatmeal cookie.
However it did make a big mess of my tub. Maybe I didn't blend the oatmeal enough?

I used this recipe last night to bathe my son who has eczema - oatmeal baths are highly reccommeded to soothe his itching skin and to moisturize. Brand names of oatmeal bath mixtures are very expensive so I was very glad to find this recipe! I didn't have cornstarch so I subbed baking soda, and I used 2 C of oatmeal; I added a few drops of Emu oil (also good for eczema) and I skipped the cinnamon in case it was bad for his sensitive skin. I used my mini food processor to powder the oatmeal 1 C at a time - it worked great, and everything disolved in the tub with no problem (I used a kitchen whisk to stir). When I first opened the tub drain some of the mixture clogged the opening, but a swish with my finger opened it up and all went down fine after that. Clean up was easy too - I sprayed the tub with water and it rinsed right off. Thank you very much.

Superb! I have made milk bath for a couple of years now and these are the same ingredients I use BUT I never thought to add spices — thank you for such a wonderful idea. I tried this recipe, doubling the cinnamon though, and it was great. Milk bath is such a skin softenener; I urge everyone to try this!

I gave myself a few hours off and had a chocolate and cinnamon spa day. I used the Chocolate Bliss Moisture Mask (Chocolate Bliss Moisture Mask) and Gingerbread Body Scrub (Gingerbread Body Scrub) along with this milk bath. As mentioned before there is a little bit of mess to this, and it certainly shows you which spots you missed during cleaning! But a splash of water, or turning on the shower for a few seconds takes care of all that. This made an awesome bath, I was worried about getting a itchy rash, which is usual for me. But nothing of the sort happened which makes me so very happy. There is one thing I need to add though, always do a light all over exfoliation, that way you have clean living skin soaking up all the good stuff, otherwise your just soaking the dry dead skin layer.
