This recipe was passed to me from my Mothers Best friend. When she was going to make Tacos everyone would just happen to drop by.

SERVES 12 , 12 regular Taco Shells (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Brown ground beef with onion drain.
  2. 2
    Add other ingredients.
  3. 3
    Simmer add more seasoning to taste.
  4. 4
    This can be a little dry.
  5. 5
    This is not Health Food!
  6. 6
    I have added a little cooking oil to the Mix.
  7. 7
    Add salt and pepper.
  8. 8
    Add ground beef to your favorite Taco shells.
  9. 9
    Top with cheese, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, etc.

    Enjoy!

I added 1 cup of tomato juice 1 tsp of chili powder Very good once those are added.

    I like this recipe, although, as the others have posted, it is very bland without the chili powder. Add 1 tsp chili powder and a cup of water to the recipe and it keeps it from being bland or dry. I added the onions, spices, and water after draining the beef and cooked them until transparent (about 10 minutes).Good base recipe though...

    This did not have any flavor at all and was very dry. sorry just didn't like it

    Very good taco filling. We used it for soft tacos, and the regular taco shells and both were good. I added 1 t chili powder to give an extra kick. Will make again. Thanks for posting this!
