Peanut Butter and Jelly Sushi Rolls

Recipe #143003 | 10 min | 10 min prep | add private note

By: southern chef in louisiana

These are so cute--I always make them for the kids when we have sushi. They think they are getting what we have.

SERVES 1 , 8 rolls (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Remove crusts from bread. With a rolling pin or large soup can, completely flatten bread.
  2. 2
Spread 1 tablespoon of peanut butter and 1 tablespoon of fruit spread on each slice of bread.
  3. 3
Roll each slice into a tight spiral. Cut each spiral into 4 pieces.

I made this for my 3 1/2 year old in a bento for lunch. He loved them! I used whole wheat bread, creamy peanut butter, and homemade raspberry jam. I found they held together a little better if the last edge rolled up had only peanut butter, no jam. Jam all the way to the last edge was too slippery, and also gooshed out a little.
