I haven't yet made this, but just wanted to clarify the name for some non-Aussies on this website. If you ask for pepper steak in Australia, you will get a piece of steak crusted with coarsely crushed mixed peppercorns. What are referred to as green peppers in this recipe are known as capsicum over here. This does sound like a delicious recipe though, one I will hopefully get to make soon.

Beyond lovely! Made this in lightening flash time. I cut the beef against the bias, and sliced very thin, and it was to tender, my DH almost scooped this up with his fingers. I used fresh tomatoes from the our greenhouse, and just sauteed the onion, pepper, tomato, and garlic quickly to retain some color. I really didn't need to add any seasonings (extra) because the peppers, onion, beef, tomatoes, spoke on their own. ZWT3 07'. Thanks so much!

Really tasty and easy to prepare. In Canada when we think of Pepper Steak we think of Peppery with spice, not of the vegie sort so I did add a bit of hot sauce and 1 tsp of sambal oelek (hot chili sauce) and that was very good. I think also, next time we'd prefer it over rice rather than mashed potatoes.

Boy oh boy was this good! I cut the meat very thin, but I think I will cook it just a little less next time as it was tough. The sauce it makes is absolutely wonderful! I served it with rice and this was a hit with the family last night!
