This were awesome and really easy to make! I marinated the chicken for just about an hour and that seemed to be enough time. I used parsley instead of dill, added some feta, and had alongside cous cous. So good!

This was really quite good and a perfect light meal for a hot summer day. I followed the recipe exactly with the exception of using a thick, full-fat yogurt for the sauce. I am glad I did because even with squeezing the juice out of the cucumbers with all my (puny) might it still made it a bit runnier than I would have liked. I served with red onion, lettuce and feta cheese on pita bread. We will definitely have this again. Thanks for posting!

We have just eaten this as a lovely light dinner! So easy to make too! I marinated for a lot longer than an hour and left the cucumber out of the sauce, added some garlic and lemon juice, and used greek style yoghurt. We made our pitas with lettuce and tomato as well as onion - delicious! Thanks for posting!

The chicken flavor from the marinade was delicious, and the meat was so tender. The taste of these gyros is really fresh and nice. My only suggestion for improvement is to thicken the sauce - it turned out pretty runny for me. Next time I'll let the yogurt drain through cheese cloth overnight to thicken it up (or try to find the really thick Greek yogurt). I'll also seed the cucumbers first, and squeeze all the liquid from them before adding to the sauce. Great, easy weeknight meal. Thanks mama's kitchen.
