This icing was very good! I ended up using a different cake recipe, though, and just needed some frosting to top it off. I put a drop of red dye in and turned it pink. It tasted wonderfully, but came out a little drippy. I just poured it over the cake and refrigerated it. Yum!

I made these cupcakes last night for a baby shower, and they were a hit! I mixed the flour and milk mixtures in by hand as was suggested, and had to take them out of the oven at 19 minutes , not twenty (so watch them closely). . . I worried they were a little overdone but I frosted them and put them in containers overnight, which helped lock in the moisture. I also piped on the frosting with a pastry bag and ended up using the full frosting recipe. The cake and the frosting are fluffy and as light, and they do taste like sugar cookies!

The best cupcakes ever! The first time I made this i didn't read the note on mixing the cake batter. If you overmix the cake batter, the cake will come out harder and drier. So the second time i made this, when adding the flour, I just mixed it in by hand, not using the electric blender and then just used the blender slightly at the end to get it all mixed together. That made the cake come out more moist.

This recipe makes the most delicious cupcakes! I made them for an adult birthday party and everyone raved about them. The cake part is moist and tasty. And the buttercream icing is divine! I had no problems making this recipe and used an electric mixer for all combining and stirring. Tip: Store these cupcakes in a Tupperware container overnight and they will be super moist the next day!
