I grew up eating these. They are the ultimate comfort food. The blend of spices make them special.

These were good and easy to make. Followed directions exactly, except that I sauteed my onion with the ground beef. I used extra lean ground been (93% lean) and fat-free refried beans. Turned out great. My hubby and I didn't find these particularly spicy, but they did have more kick than my two little ones could handle. Will still make again for us--thanks for sharing.

Wow...these were great. So easy to make, I'll be making them very often now! The only thing different I did was add a 1/2 can chopped tomatoes instead of the puree and I cut the salt in half. Thanks so much for the awesome recipe!

These were really easy and good. I made them to freeze ahead for a quick snack for my dd. I thought they were a little salty and next time will cut that in half. Also, I think it could use 2 cans of refried beans instead of one....a lot of beef to bean ratio in these but some may like that. I got 9 burritos out of the recipe using the soft taco size tortillias. I will definitely make again, just with my adjustments. Thanks Kellbell. Pam

I wish I could have had these growing up, but better late than never! The spice mix does make these, plus the way the beans make it creamy. No cheese needed for me! I did use finely chopped fresh cilantro, instead of the coriander. I think it was that flavor that gave it an unique taste. We had these two nights, with soft tortillas and crunchy taco shells. Served with Junior's Macaroni and Cheese Pie, which went great together. Roxygirl
