I got this recipe from a friend of mine about 16 years ago. I thought they were delicious and made them several times. I was so excited when I came across this recipe while looking through 100's of recipes I have clipped, saved and copied over the years. I will be making this again real soon!

SERVES 12 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Blend butter and sugar.
  2. 2
    Add eggs and beat well.
  3. 3
    Stir in vanilla and salt.
  4. 4
    Crush bran flakes slightly and add with flour to first mix.
  5. 5
    Add raisin (to your taste)>.
  6. 6
    Fold only until combined.
  7. 7
    Spread in greased 9x13 pan.
  8. 8
    Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until set.

    Remove and sprinkle with confectioners' sugar on top.
  10. 10
    Cut when Cool.

    Enjoy!

Bakes these for church coffee morning..they all dissapeared. DH was unsure about them, not being a lover of Branflakes, but went on to eat all the ones I'd left at home, so they can't have been that bdd!! lol

    These are so good! I didn't see 40% bran flakes at the grocery, so I used another brand of bran flakes. Other than skipping the raisins and adding extra bran flakes, I followed the recipe--thanks for posting it!

    Great recipe for extra fiber, my DH loved these bars! I added in some raisins too. I plan on making more soon, great recipe, thanks Chef Mommie!...Kitten
