Garlicky Green Beans With Mushrooms

Recipe #124755 | 40 min | 25 min prep | add private note

This recipe is from Taste of Home's Light & Tasty and is delicious. My husband loves green beans and mushrooms not to mention garlic. This recipe combines them all and is very easy to make. You can adjust the spices to meet your family's tastes.

OK, my only complaint was that 2 1/2 lbs of beans is a lot to trim! LOL My beans were a little too crisp. Next time I would cook them longer (this time I only did 8 min.). Also, I used 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp onion salt, because I discovered I was out of onion powder after I had added the salt. I still didn't find them too salty. I served this with Hoisin Five -Spice Chicken Pieces.

I love this recipe. I was just thinking about posting it myself as I was searching through my old TOH magazines looking for this particular recipe. This is my favorite way to prepare green beans.
