Baked Pork Chops With Onions and Chili Sauce

This is a quick pork recipe that I throw together fairly regularly because it's easy, requires few ingredients and is a big hit with the kids.

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
    Preheat oven to 375.
  2. 2
Pound the chops thin with a meat tenderizer.
  3. 3
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium high heat and brown the chops lightly on each side.
  4. 4
Move the chops to a shallow baking dish. Scatter the sliced onions over the chops, sprinkle with brown sugar and pour the chili sauce over all.
  5. 5
Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes (or until done, depending on the thickness of your chops). I usually flip them midway through so that they cook evenly in the sauce on both sides.
  6. 6
Smother chops with onions and sauce and serve.

We enjoyed these chops very much. I liked how easy they were to put together and how few ingredients it takes to make them. Even my two little picky eaters enjoyed them. Served with a salad, mashed potatoes and peas. A great weeknight meal that I'm sure will go into the regular rotation. Thanks for sharing!

Oh so easy to prepare, smells delicious while baking and just as good to taste! We loved these chops and they are just a little different from the usual ways to prepare pork chops. Thanks, Carole in Orlando

So easy but best of all DELICIOUS!! The chops turned out incredibly tender and the sauce was a great complimenting taste. I followed recipe exactly and it turned out perfect. My husband and two sons loved it too. I will put this in my favorites. Can't beat easy and yummy! Thanks!

These were like BBQ ribs! I used bone-in chops and ate the kids' bones clean after my own! These were very good. I liked them with a lot of the sauce! Gotta go wash my face! Thanks!
