By: Dragonshoes
May 25, 2005

This is just the pizza for anyone wishing to try something different and delicious. No tomato sauce on this one. A favorite in my house and with guests.

SERVES 5 , 1 pizza (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Place ready made pizza crust on baking pan. I use Boboli brand in large or extra large.
  2. 2
    Preheat oven to 450°F.
  3. 3
Sauté onions and garlic in little olive oil until slightly tender but still crunchy.
  4. 4
Spread onion and garlic on top of pizza crust and cover with mozzarella cheese. Top with parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes. Bake 10 minutes. Cool a few minutes then cut and serve.

I am making more and more vegetarian recipes at home and this one has been my husband's favorite so far! The red pepper flakes make it a good manly meal. Thanks for sharing this - we'll be making it often.

I like to add the parmesan, garlic and mozzarella to some ricotta and olive oil with a little salt and pepper and lay that as the base and build from there. Talk about good white pizza

Try sprinkling a few Italian herbs, crushed on the crust before adding other stuff--I have also topped this with Roma tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach — you name it--we'll eat it on pizza!

Yummy! I've made this quite a few times, and we love it. Tried some of the variations that have been posted. We especially like adding fresh Roma tomatoes and basil. Very tasty, and such an EASY recipe.
