Wow! I made this for dessert tonight and it was a hit! Once I made the cream mixture, it tastes too cream cheesey for me (and I LOVE cream cheese). So, I added another cup of cool whip (light cool whip, no one noticed) and another 1/2 tsp vanilla. As for the powdered sugar I uses approx. 6TBS all together. When it was time to serve it, I whipped it again with the mixer. It was creamy and delicious. I think the cream mixture would be fantastic as a dressing for fruit salad. Thank you so much! This will surely be served at our house again.

This was delicious. I wish I could rate it 10 stars. I used regular cream cheese and 5 tablespoons of sugar. It was perfect. Thannk you for such a yummy and easy recipe.

A very elegant and romantic dessert, yet incredibly fast and simple to prepare. I added 2-3 Tbsp of powdered sugar, enough for just the most subtle hint of sweetness. I used neufchatel in place of the cream cheese (basically the same flavor, but 1/3 less fat) and subbed fat-free half and half for 1/3 of the whipping cream as well, yet it was still thick and rich. Dh had his over a slice of chocolate cake...chocolate, strawberries, and Devonshire Cream ~ he was in heaven! Thanks so much for posting!
