Hot Grape-nuts Cereal

So quick and easy that it really isn't even a recipe. You can have warm cereal on a cold day without any muss or fuss. I have added fresh fruit (blueberries are a favorite) after heating the cereal. Brown sugar could be subbed for the honey. Or, eliminate the extra sweetener and use vanilla soy milk instead of regular milk. The possibilities are endless.

SERVES 1 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Combine cereal and milk in a microwavable bowl.
  2. 2
    Drizzle with the honey.
  3. 3
Microwave on High to taste: 30 seconds for a BIG crunch; 60 seconds for a little crunch.

This makes a very good breakfast. I topped mine with 1/2 tbsp of honey and 1/4 cup of chopped strawberries. This would also be very good with a banana and brown sugar.

My niece declares this the best! I put a little brown sugar and cinnamon on it for her. I like what you suggest as far as tweaking it. I have put in Blueberries and Banannas and its wonderful with fruit! A wonderful warm cereal for kids or adults! Thanks!
