This wonderfully flavored asparagus evolved from a Cooking Light recipe. Prep time includes time to marinate.

Loved how simple and quick this was to make. We really enjoyed this, it wasn't enough for the 3 of us...lol. I used regular soy sauce so I skipped the sound and that worked out fine. Thanks!

This is fantastic!!! I marinate it in a corningware dish that I take to the grill. As i grill the asparagus I take it off the grill and put it back in the marinade for a few minutes.

Great flavor and very easy. I marinated for 2 hours and I also added a teaspoon of brown sugar just to boost the sweetness of the asparagus. My guests loved it and asked for the recipe. I will make this again

I was planning to post this recipe but found it already posted. I have been making this excellent recipe for a few years now. The only change that I make, is including 1 tsp of lemon zest. Otherwise it is the same. I always include it with my summer barbeque menu. You can't go wrong with this side dish. Like I said it is excellent!
