Zesty Broccoli and Cauliflower Au Gratin

Easy, delicious side dish.

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. 2
    Combine breadcrumbs with cheese, stir mixture well, and set aside.
  3. 3
    Arrange broccoli and cauliflower in a steamer basket over boiling water.
  4. 4
    Cover and steam until tender-crisp (4 minutes).
  5. 5
    Coat a 1 1/2 qt casserole dish with cooking spray.
  6. 6
    Drain veggies and place in casserole dish.
  7. 7
    In a small bowl, mix margarine, mustard, and pepper; drizzle mixture over veggies.

    Toss to coat, and sprinkle breadcrumb mixture on top.

    Bake until heated through (8 minutes).

Not a fan of this one. There's definitely not enough sauce or cheese. It tasted like dry broccoli with bread crumbs.

    Yummy! Easy and lovely flavor - wonderful side dish. I used crushed crackers instead of bread crumbs. Thanks for sharing.

    Liked the mustard and breadcrumb/cheese combination-it worked very well. Next time I'd reduce the amount of white pepper, or better yet, switch to black pepper. Very easy to overcook these vegetables, so cook carefully.
