Kittencal's Simple and Delicious Tuna Salad

Recipe #116814 | 10 min | 10 min prep | add private note
KITTENCAL

By: KITTENCAL

This is a simple recipe but really huge on taste, it even tastes better if left in the fridge a few hours to blend the flavors, I always make it at least 4 hours in advance, it's wonderful with a slice of tomato on top of the tuna and served between two thick slices of toasted whole grain bread or in a pita bread or served on a plate on top of a bed of lettuce --- I sometimes add in some chopped small sweet gherkin pickles or yum yum pickles also --- feel free to add in some cooked macaroni pasta and serve on a plate --- please only fresh lemon juice for this bottled is just not the same, I have left the mustard powder and Tabasco as optional I most always add it in it takes this salad to another level

Yum... We have both had a craving for tuna salad and bought 3 cans the other day while grocery shopping. Just perfect for this recipe!!! Simple to put together and uses ingredients already in my fridge... I love the addition of lemon juice and seasoning salt! It really adds to the depth of flavor... I also added in the sweet relish and loved it... my BF claims he doesn't but he didn't complain as he devoured his sandwich!!! Thanks for a great recipe!!!

Excellent! I'm not sure what makes this so good...maybe the lemon juice and seasoned salt. Simple but fabulous tuna! I used Hellman's light and did not find this overly mayo-y, just perfect with whole wheat toast, tomato and lettuce. Thanks, Kittencal, I'll be making this again!

I used 1 green onion, and 2 big tablespoon of mayonnaise. I had 2 cans of tuna that was more than 6 1/2 ounce but don't know how much. I used zucchini relish and seasoning salt. It's delicious. Thanks Kit Made for Zaar Star Game.
