Dreamgoddess this was a nice change from steamed cabbage. I think the next time I'll try use slaw mix. Flavors were good, but it just seemed like it was missing something.I'll play with to more suit our taste.

We had 5 cabbages all at once from the garden, and I couldn't wait to try this recipe. Even my non cabbage lover's LOVED this. (For me personally, I love hot and spicy so I could of just eaten the whole bowl myself!) This was a perfect side dish, and so easy and quick to make. I didn't change anything, it so tasty. I made this with Dreamgoddess's Louisiana Roast Beef, and also Creole Potato Salad, which really help balance out any residual heat of the cabbage. Terrific! Made for ZWT3 07 '

Oh, my! That's some spicy cabbage! We loved it, though, especially my chilehead husband. Other than the spiciness, the cabbage was just the way I like it, cooked through until it is soft, but not mushy, Yum! Thank you.

This is NOT boring cabbage; this is cabbage KICKED UP! It's got a bite to it, but yet it's not too much heat. I doubled the onions, otherwise made this as written. I covered the pot while this cooked to wilt the cabbage more (I still stirred occassionally). Thanx for posting this. I'll make this again!
