Try other Buttered Egg Noodles (Best Ever) recipes

Uh, helloooo!! This was AMAZING! I did add about 2 cups of water as I could immediately tell the 1 1/2 cups would not be enough to cover the noodles. I then added about a spoonful of butter and one more bullion cube. I saw that it didn't need any butter at the end, it was just too goood! For those thinking about making this it's basically one of those recipes you just figure out as you go. The amount of water, butter and even bullion is totally up to you. More noddles, more of the other ingredients! But if you make close to 8 oz then 2 1/2-3 1/2 cups of water should do the job. Thanks so much for sharing! This is a keeper!!!

These were suprisingly good!!! Who'd a thought there'd be a technique to preparing buttered noodles. Both of my kids ate these up and asked for seconds which really says something because the youngest eats nothing!! I did increase the water and cut down on the butter a tad due to response from other readers. This is a definite keeper, thanx David!!

I wont make plain old noodles any other way. I think it's important to let people know that the broth wont cover the noodles and that they need to stir frequently though. I didn't have a problem but some might.Family loved it, gives these a try

These noodles were so easy to prepare and the taste was excellent! The only change I would make is to add 1/2 cup more water to boil the noodles in. I ran out of water before the noodles were tender. Great recipe, David! Thank you!
