How delightful! The light hint of orange is wonderful in this hot chocolate! Very easy to prepare. Once you make this, you will never again be satisfied with a powdered hot chocolate mix ; ) **Be sure to use fresh orange rind. For an adult evening by the fireside, try adding a touch of Triple Sec.

The orange came through really nice. I did use the juice from the orange and then added water to make 1 1/2 cups. I used all the zest from the orange which I added along with the water to release the all the oils while cooking. Used 4 cups low fat milk and topped with low fat whipped cream. Garnished with an orange slice. This would be delish with some Grand Marnier. Thanks for posting!

This is very good. I had to make it twice. I scaled the recipe down for one serving and followed the directions for cooking times. It was awful, way to strong. I started to rate and then realized it just wasn't fair. The second time I made it, I brought it to a boil, turned the heat off and added the milk and orange (forgot the vanilla the second time). It was much much better! If you scale the recipe down, do not boil for two minutes. It was way too strong. I just wish I would have had some whipped cream! Thank you for the lovely cup of cocoa littleturtle!
