My sister's recipe, a family favorite, and definitely a keeper. The meat is tender and juicy. Easy to make ahead, pop in the oven, and let it cook. Excellent served with noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes along w/ the cooking sauce/gravy.

Simply put - another good brisket recipe. The only change I made was to lower the temp and let it go in the oven longer since I knew I was going to be out. I think I could have easily eaten the entire thing myself, but I showed restraint and now I have dinner for tomorrow night too.

Carol, great recipe. Easy to prepare. I put sliced onion and two cloves of chopped garlic on top of meat after pouring ingredients. Delish!!!

Fantastic! I loved this. The roast was tender and delicious. I ended up using a 2 1/2 pound oven roast instead of the brisket. It worked well. I left the sauce ingredients the same as in the recipe. I did mine in the crock pot. I let it cook for 6 hours. Perfect. I will use this again and again! Thanks!

This was very good. My DH was going crazy while this was cooking because it smelled heavenly and spread all over the house. After cooking, I poured all the juices into a pan, boiled and then added ice water and corn starch to make a delicious flavourful gravy (as others mentioned). I served with french green beans and potato/corn bites.
