Rib Kickin' Rum Ribs

This recipe has a nice tangy taste! Totally "Rib Kickin!"

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Mix all ingredients together in a sauce pan and warm on stove.
  2. 2
    Do not simmer or boil: warm only.
  3. 3
    Place ribs on grill.
  4. 4
    I use a drip pan under my ribs filled with water to keep the ribs moist.
  5. 5
    Cook over medium flame for 1 1/2 hours.
  6. 6
    Generously baste the ribs with the marinade and sit at room temperature for 1 hour.

    Return to grill and cook for 30 minutes.

    Oven cooking: Place ribs in a pan and foil the top.
  9. 9
    Cook at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hour.

    Remove from oven.

    Generously baste the ribs with the marinade and sit at room temperature for 1 hour.

    Return to oven (no foil) and bake for 30 minutes.

Very good. Nice and sweet not spicy. I did mine all in the oven. I had to omit the chili sauce b/c I didn't have any. Very tasty. The sauce would be really good on another cut of beef too.

    Awesome Ribs!!! I made this recipe for the holiday weekend and everyone was raving and asking for the recipe! The men in the group were slobbering around the grill waiting for a second batch! I cooked them for the 1 1/2 in the oven, with the water under the ribs as you suggested, and then I slathered them as instructed, and finished them for the 30 minutes on the grill. They were really good! Thank you soooooo much!
