Perfect Espresso Without an Espresso Machine

Recipe #103014 | 5 min | 5 min prep | add private note

Perfect recipie for all your frozen Frappaccino and Lattes and Cappacchino's. After much trial an error, I have come up with the perfect measurements to brew your own espresso using your favorite coffee. My favorite coffee is fresh ground Eight O" Clock Columbian coffee. I grind it into a fine grind. But be creative use flavored coffees, vanilla, carmel, chocolate. This will work with all of the coffees you buy from your supermarket or specialty store. I use this recipie in my Frozen Frappaccino Starbucks Frappuccino Blended New and Improved Recipe. As well as my recipe for Caramel Macchiato Starbucks Ultimate Caramel Macchiato Blended. I brew a batch every morning and store the extra in the fridge. This recipie can also be used if using an espresso machine. This recipe yeilds 1/2 cup 2 servings. All my recipies require 1/4 or 4 tablespoons of brewed coffee so save the other 1/4 cup in the frige for later. Please note that this recipe may not work when using an 8 cup or 12 cup coffee maker. The recipe is for an espresso machine or a small 2 cup coffee machine like the Black & Decker quick brew.

I have been trying to make the perfect mocha for my husband. I've always been close, but not quite there. I believe he will now love it when I make them using this "espresso". I put in 1/2 cup of water and came out with 1/3 cup so I used it as is (I only needed 2 shots anyways). Thanks so much for sharing!

This is a great recipe for those of us who love espresso based drinks but can’t justify spending the big bucks for a decent espresso maker. I doubled this recipe and mixed it with a big (“Venti”) travel cup of hot coco plus two extra spoons of coco powder mix. The end result was a cheap, quick and easy Mocha Latte type beverage. It wasn’t quite as good as “Starbucks”, but it wasn’t $6.00 a cup either. Thanks BUZY-LADY! This drink kept me buzzing for the rest of the day.

Hrm this worked pretty good! I had to put somewhat more than 1/2 cup of water in my coffee maker though to get 1/2 cup of espresso out. Thanks a lot!
