Broccoli and Peppers

This is a great healthy side dish for most meats and main dishes. Presentation is great.

SERVES 12 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    For sauce, in a small bowl stir together soy sauce, lemon juice and sesame oil.

    Set aside.
  3. 3
    Place a steamer basket in a 12 inch skillet.
  4. 4
    Add enough water to come just below bottom of basket and bring to a boil.
  5. 5
    Place broccoli in steamer basket and reduce heat to medium low.
  6. 6
    Cover and steam for 4 minutes.
  7. 7
    Add sweet peppers.
  8. 8
    cover and steam for 3 to 4 minutes more or until vegetables are crisp-tender.

    Transfer vegetables to a serving bowl.
  10. 10
    Drizzle sauce over vegetables and toss gently to coat.

    I halved this and it was pretty good. The first bite is VERY soy sauc-y. But nice flavor and a nice different way to prepare a veggie!
